Worry and a Heavy Heart Can Stop the
Power of God in Your Life
| Be anxious for nothing, but in everything
by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made
known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. |

(Philippians 4:6-7) |
Worry can stop the power of God in your life. When you worry your eyes are
off of the Lord Jesus Christ and then you become consumed by the very cares.
"Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your
concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and
cares about you watchfully" (1 Peter 5:7 Amplified Bible). As long as your eyes
and expectancy are on the Lord Jesus Christ your victory will always come to
pass. Most Christians that you meet that are defeated and heavy hearted are
consumed with worry and cares. The people you meet who are victorious with great
joy have learned to trust and cast their cares on the Lord Jesus Christ. King
David walked a life of victory in the midst of great trials and tribulations yet
he never lost his trust and joy in the Lord.
| I have told you these things, so that in
Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have
tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer
[take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the
world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for
you.] |

(John 16:33 Amplified Bible) |
| The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not
want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the
still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of
righteousness For His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod
and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the
presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I
will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. |

(Psalm 23:1-6) |
| "So why do you worry about clothing?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor
spin; "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these. "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field,
which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much
more clothe you, O you of little faith? "Therefore do not worry, saying,
'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
"For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father
knows that you need all these things. "But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. |
