DO NOT LET WORRY STEAL YOUR
BLESSINGS
| Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace
of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus. |
|
(Philippians 4:6-7) |
Whenever a Christian is anxious or full of
worry, that means their eyes are off of the Lord Jesus Christ and their looking
at their fears and storms of life. When you pray with supplications and
thanksgiving your eyes, heart and mind are fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is your source of life and peace. When your eyes and heart are on Him,
then His power, peace and love can freely move upon and through you to this
world! A life of prayer and praise will train up your spirit to always be
expectant and your eyes and heart will be fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ always!
| But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves,
for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night
Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw
Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a ghost!"
And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them,
saying, "Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid." And Peter
answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on
the water." So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down
out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he
saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he
cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched
out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why
did you doubt?" |

(Matthew 14:24-31) |
| . . . looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. |
|
(Hebrews 12:2) |
| Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. |
