Praying in the Spirit Keeps Your Eyes and Heart on the Lord Jesus Christ

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

(Galatians 5:25)

When you start to live in a life of prayer your eyes and heart are immediately fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Prayer keeps your eyes off of the problems and fixed on the power of God Almighty to bring the victory to you and others. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it" (John 14:13-14).  Whenever your eyes and heart are off of the Lord, the problems and cares of this life will grow larger in your heart.  When the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to me, He said if you would paint a picture of Jesus Christ bigger in their heart than the circumstances, they will always receive their miracle!  The way to have a big picture of the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart that overflows with His power and love to the world around you, is to have your eyes and heart on Him constantly!  Praying in the Spirit will train your spirit and heart to always be in contact with Him.

"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever; "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. "At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

(John 14:16-20)

And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come."  And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.  But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"  And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
