IN HIM YOU WILL HAVE PEACE AND VICTORY
| These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In
the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world. |
|
(John 16:33) |
Years ago I was on top of a mountain praying and crying out to the Lord
Jesus Christ. I was in the most intense spiritual battle of my life.
It was like the whole world turned against myself and the ministry. The
Lord appeared to me and quoted the scripture John 16:33:
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world.
He led and showed me through the scriptures that He promises that He will
always watch over us. The battle is the Lord's. From that day on my eyes
and heart are always abiding in Him. First Corinthians 15:57 states,
"But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ."
Regardless of the storms or opposition and persecutions that come against you
in your life, the Lord Jesus Christ is your victory and resting place.
In 1 John 4:4 Jesus is recorded saying, "You are of God, little children, and
have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the
world." When you abide and put your trust and faith in Him, He will
always bring you the victory and peace. Abiding In Him is the only way
to a victorious life filled with His Peace! In John 15:5 Jesus tells his
disciples, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in
him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." When the
scriptures state "In Me," It means to live your life in total trust in Him
regardless what you see and hear.
| Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own
understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct
your paths. |
|
(Proverbs 3:5-6) |
| Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him
out of them all. |
|
(Psalms 34:19) |
| Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His
might. |
|
(Ephesians 6:10) |
| Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who
loved us. |
|
(Romans 8:37) |
| He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart
will flow rivers of living water. |
|
(John 7:38) |
| The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of
all their troubles. |
|
(Psalms 34:17) |
