IF YOU ARE WILLING AND OBEDIENT YOU SHALL BE BLESSED
| When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the
deep and let down your nets for a catch." But Simon answered and said to
Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless
at Your word I will let down the net." And when they had done this, they
caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. |

When The Lord Jesus Christ tells you to do something and you are willing
and obedient it will come to pass. Isaiah 1:19 states, "If you are
willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land." Many times we
reason or do things in our own way, pride, intellect and strength. When
you try and see through your own pride and strength you will always fail.
When the Lord spoke to Peter and told him to let down their net. Peter could
have thought in his pride and with his experience as a professional fisherman
and said I know more about fishing than you will ever know. Proverbs
16:20 says, "He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts
in the LORD, happy is he." Peter and the disciples were all willing and
obedient to the voice of the Lord. That is why He choose them instead of
the thousands who followed and praised Him daily!
The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to be willing and obedient to His word and
voice daily. When you are willing and obedient, the Lord Jesus Christ
will bless you in a supernatural, mighty way. Pride in your abilities,
intellect and strength stops the power of God Almighty in your life.
Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit
before a fall." A person who prays and seeks the Lord Jesus Christ daily
has a humble and willing, obedient spirit. Most people who have pride in
their abilities and a uplifted heart usually do not have a daily prayer life.
| Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own
understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct
your paths. |
|
(Proverbs 3:5-7) |
| But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these things shall be added to you. |
|
(Matthew 6:33) |
| But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having
heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with
patience. |
