Abiding and Trusting in His
Divine Peace
| These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In
the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome
the world. |
|
(John 16:33) |
Many times in our daily lives we encounter
tremendous opposition and situations that appear impossible to overcome.
When you try to plow through or overcome them in your own power or resources you
fall flat on your face. The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to abide in His
strength wisdom and power. When you live in His power you are turning the
opposition and problems over to Him. As long as you hold on to and fight
them in your own strength, He will help you.
| Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace
of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus. |
|
(Philippians 4:6-7) |
When you live in a life of prayer and
thanksgiving you are living and abiding in the very presence of God Almighty and
in His power and protection.
| Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in
Me. |
|
(John 15:4) |
A life of living and abiding in prayer brings
you closer to God then anything you can do on this Earth. You can always
know if a person has a dedicated life of prayer by the inner peace they have.
| Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries,
all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you
affectionately and cares about you watchfully. |
|
(1 Peter 5:7, Amplified Bible) |
| Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! |
|
(Psalm 46:10) |
| Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will
sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved
(made to slip, fall, or fail). |
|
(Psalm 55:22, Amplified Bible) |
