Where Does Your Power and Direction Come From?
| But seek (aim at and strive after)
first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and
being right), and then all these things taken together will be given
you besides. |

(Matthew 6:33 Amplified
Bible) |
The Apostle Paul wrote over half of the New Testament and won countries
and multitudes of souls to Jesus by himself through the power of the
Spirit of God. He is one of the greatest inspirations to believers.
How did he get to this place and power in God to be able to hear and be
led in such a powerful way? Paul had a very intimate and powerful
prayer life he always was in direct communication with God. In 1 Corinthians
14:18,
Paul states: "I thank God that I speak in [strange] tongues (languages)
more than any of you or all of you put together"
(Amplified Bible).
When you pray in the
Spirit you are releasing the will and heart and power of God into this world. The more time you spend in extended prayer in
the Spirit, the more time you
are in the presence of God. The more time you spend with Him the more you
will be like Him. The gifts of the Spirit with the working of miracles
will start to flow through you to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and God
Almighty. You can be a yielded vessel for God to use. One person praying
in the Spirit can save and touch and heal the lives of countless millions. Jesus said in Luke 24:49, "Behold, I send the
promise of my Father upon
you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power
from on high." With out His power you are in your own earthly strength.
| You
are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is
in you is greater than he who is in the world |

(1
John 4:4) |
| I will
lift up my eyes to the hills; From whence comes my help? |
|
(Psalms 121:1) |
| My
help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. |
|
(Psalms
121:2) |
