DO NOT LOOK BACK AT THE PAST
| . . . looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the
shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. |
|
(Hebrews 12:2) |
Whenever your eyes and heart are steadfastly
focused on The Lord Jesus Christ you are abiding in Him. In John 15:4
Jesus says, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."
When your eyes and heart are fixed on the past, trials, cares and circumstances
of this life you are abiding in them. Your faith, victory, and strength comes
from abiding in the Lord Jesus Christ and His living love and word!
You can never change the past it is impossible! So why dwell and think
about the past? The more you dwell on it, the more it comes back to life
with all the sorrows. When your eyes and heart are living and abiding in
the Lord Jesus Christ. His life, love, joy and victory is flowing through
you!
| If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you
desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that
you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. |
|
(John 15:7-8) |
The Lord Jesus Christ Loves you
unconditionally and He will never forsake or leave you. He wants to share
your heart and life with you. When you abide in Him, He can Live through
you and guide you to an abundant joyful victory! When you do not abide in
Him He cannot be a part of your life or guide you! The Lord Jesus Christ
will never go against your will. You have to be in agreement with Him.
So abide and live through Him and He will live through you!
| I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in
him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. |
|
(John 15:5) |
| . . . and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and
the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes
unfruitful. |
|
(Mark 4:19) |
| And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that
He may abide with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for
He dwells with you and will be in you. |
