What Are You Trusting?
| Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is
the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following
their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and
inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and
rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight
and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the
instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and
studies) by day and by night. And he shall be like a tree firmly
planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its
fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and
everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. |

(Psalms 1:1-3 Amplified Bible) |
When you meet people who have walked with God for many years,
they have a common thread that weaves them into the success of the Lord.
If your trust is in the world system or through your six senses it will
ultimately fail. Jesus came into this world to give you the
abundant life so it would overflow from you to all those around you.
When the world sees you walking in Godly success it glorifies God and the Gospel. The Lord Jesus knows and sees the beginning and ending
of your life. If we would be led by His Spirit continuously, then
He could impart His wisdom and guidance to you. Pride and self
sufficiency is our greatest enemy. Pride tells you do not need
help and you can do it by yourself. I will lift up my eyes to
the hills; from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth (Psalms 121:1-2).
Some times we need to slow down and
draw near to God with a intimate fellowship which will always lead you
into godly wisdom.
Trust in the LORD with all your
heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways
acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths. |
